WAKE UP GALS!!!!!!!!!!

Gudmorning gals wake up….just when I was thinking about adding something to this blog I happened to flip through the TV for a few minutes. I noticed a very strange pattern among the shows on all channels developed recently..Be it the so called ‘reality shows’ or regular soaps or any music videos. All of them are ‘decorated’ with the skimpily clad model like girls. Practically these girls do not seem to be exposing their acting potential but rather something else…

I am a girl of the next century not a granny from the 80’s..... I am an admirer of modern clothing myself but the point to put on focus is ‘stop selling yourself girls realize your strength , realize your true worth and bring it before the world to see..

People want recognition and fame. Media whets their appetite for it. Then follows the vicious circle of desiring more and more. So media goes on providing the same. The girls in some videos merely stand and smile while the hero goes on and on with the dialogues and dancing and everything to be the next superstar. Why can’t girls have their share unless they become some big name? Leaving a few exceptions all are treated the same. Why can’t married heroines be acceptable and married stars like Hritik and SRK rule the industry?

Through aggressive advertising the beauty industry has been very successful in convincing women of the ‘Ideal Woman’ myth. It has made the woman’s body into a commodity which should meet a standard i.e. of queen’s. Every woman desires to look beautiful, sensuous and she feels insecure if she does not meet this standard. Perhaps this insecurity persuades women to buy beauty aids with often false claims of "removing wrinkles", "changing skin complexion" or "making one fair". But there is the other side of the woman, the true woman in picture.

Hard earned money that could have been spent on nourishing food to bring on a natural healthy look is used for buying artificial blushes and skin nourishers. These artificial aids only worsen the condition if a woman’s general health is bad. Women’s groups and activists are objecting mainly to the ‘commodification’ of women as sex objects. "Women should be free to decide which beauty products to use. They should not be conditioned by advertising and a beauty contest culture.
Women is beautiful when she is the successful entrepreneur, the hardworking teacher, the simple housewife,the maid,the sweet school girls..all are the examples of unparallel beauty as their true worth and beauty lies in the everyday things they do..

So its time to stand up and tell everyone “kudiyon jaisi koi nahi…………….”

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!! Our country got independence long back but our society has not shed the shackels yet, till today we our not completely independent.

Whether we talk about the city girls or small town ones, noone is absolutely safe and secure in today’s world. Though our independence is 62yrs old but our male counterpart has still not understood the meaning of COMPLETE INDEPENDENCE when it comes to women. Women are still considered as SOFT TARGETS. Be it on road, in office or even at homes, women are the easy victims of exploitation.

A survey conducted shows that 44% of women have a fear in their heatrs when they walk out of their homes. This fear is because of the rapidly increasing cases regarding eve teasing, mental torture by inhuman in-laws or husbands, acid attacks, molestation etc..

It’s high time that women must get bold and brave to protect themselves from all this rather than waiting for any male or superhero to stand for them.

SOME TIPS THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM EVE TEASING:-

•You can always stay safe in a crowd. Stay within a group of people you know and don’t break off.

•Keep easily accessible self defence objects like pepper sprays or sharp objects in your hand bags.

•Even heavy hand bag can deter an attacker, a stilleto can be a deady weapon.

•Keep emergency numbers on speed dial.

•Seek professional help to save yourself from post traumatic stress disorder.

SOME TIPS THAT MUST BE FOLLOWED TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM INHUMAN IN-LAWS:-

We hear a number of cases till date where in laws or husbands torture and in worst cases even set their brides on fire for dowry. These cases are equally common in small towns as well as metropolitans.

•Develop a safety plan.

•If you are approached by someone with a rope or weapon or if you smell of kerosene,RUN.

•Inform your friends, family and neighbours about your situation.

•Keep an emergency bag ready with keys, money,medicines, your important documents. Plan an emergency exit route from your house and work, and learn of safe places where you can go during an emergency.

•Open the windows, yell for help or throw something to attract attention.

Generally, boys are tough and strong as against gals. But this is just the outer part of their nature that they show. Infact they are also quite sensitive at times when the matter is “LOVE”. Boys are usually confused about their feelings. So, girls you need to observe and think a lot before confronting your guy……….

· SPACE AND TIME:- As I said boys are bit confused about their feelings so you need to give them some time to realize that they love you and can’t live without you. If needed you may have to prove or rather help them meet themselves and their feelings about you by showing your love to them. Boys always need some space just like you. So don’t be over demanding and self imposing on them.
· UNDERSTAND THEIR FEELINGS:- Boys are very much different from you and have a different mindset regarding various things. So, try to understand his thoughts and feelings how so ever stupid they may sound and politely guide him at times.
· TRUST:- This is a thing that boys expect from their gal the most. This does not mean to blindly trust to everything they say and do. But don’t doubt them always. If you believe that you both love each other then trust him to the extent you trust yourself.
·THEY NEED LOVE:- Boys usually don’t share what they feel with others espacially their emotionally true feelings. So, always be at their side whenever you think they are feeling low about anything be it professional or personal. Rather than irritating them by asking the reason again and again, just give them a “jaddu ki jhappi”, just hug them lovingly or hold his hand.
There are times when he needs lots of love, so show your love to the maximum extent to them.
· GOLDEN AT HEART:- You need to be polite yet full of ecstacy. You should be true towards him and love and respect his family a lot. Whatever you feel let him know about that. As boys have a big ego, so try not to have those ego clashes over small things because there can’t be anything as big as your love.

Generally, girls are quite sensitive and soft at heart as compared to boys. They get emotional very quickly. So BOYS……..BEWARE!!!! There are certain things that you must always keep in mind before confronting you gal………..

· SHOW YOUR LOVE:- She does not expect at all that you gift her those precious items availabe in the market. Actually, materialistic things don’t have any value when it comes to real love. It is always needed that you express your love to your gal. You must spell out the feeings that you usually hide inside your heart or simply tell her how much you love her by giving her a flower or pen down your feelings on a letter,etc..
· QUALITY TIME:- You must daily or as often as possible spend some time with your gal. By this it does not mean that you have to spend time from dawn to dusk with her. Even if you spend a mere hour with her but it should be totally hers. Don’t discuss about your daily schedule or work problems at that time (even if she asks about it) because she wants to listen something else. Just talk abou matters related to both of you. It should be about both of you not “you” alone.
· AVOID BEING LATE:- Gals don’t like it when you delay your date plan. And as far as possible don’t cancel it. Gals really get upset when you cancel a much awaited plan on the last moment. If there is something really important and you can’t help it then calmly explain it to her and apologise for it as soon as possible.
·RESPECT HER FRIENDS AND FAMILY:-Always remember parents and friends are important for everyone be it you or anyone else. So, be the same to her dear ones as you are to yours.
·MAKE HER FEEL SPECIAL:-By this it certainly does not mean that you have to make her feel like a queen. It is the most simple thing you can do for her. As everyone knows gals love to hear appreciation. So, simply appreciate her dress or her looks at times but don’t exaggerate.
